      Notes:

I couldn't tell if you actually got to see the photos. Someone was on the Telfer board looking for Uncle Alex--I think and they had these photos. They said that Uncle Alex had lived with the Watson's in the late 30's in Janetville. This was news to me. I knew that Uncle Alex had had 'trouble staying home' and had been caught for truancy. I didn't know if he had been put in 'care' and didn't know where Janetville was. The people sent these pictures and had Auntie Terry's name and an Australian address for Auntie Terry and Uncle Alex. I thought you might be interested and would appreciate any information that you might have.

Note written by Mary Sharp Telfer, kept in "jewel" or keepsake box (in possession of Juanita Mary FAULKNOR Guillett) written by Mary Sharp TELFER Faulknor:Hope Chester will print this up nicely for you.You have asked me about some History so I'm starting this way firstI had my box done up by a Cabinet Maker for Juanita Mary, she in turn will pass it on to her Daughter later on. -------------------------------------- Grandpa David Dalrymple married Mary DargeHe was one of the best Cabinet makers in Glasgow Scotland. They had Hugh, Agnes, John, Elizabeth and Janet.Grampa always called Gramma his wee one. Gramma Dalrymple died when Janet was 6 years old. Janet was bor in 1890. On her 10th birthday Gramp made this box for her (Keepers--they used to call them). He died the next year leaving his wee one and orphan. Her 10th birthday would be the turn of the century. When I turned 10 my mother gave it to me. I took great care of it, but after I was married it got pushed around. I had a cabinet maker at the church do it up for me.You (Juanita Mary) and Beaver both are good with handwork. I thought you might put a tray back in like a jewl box; it had one. It also had a lock in it.2001/11/26
