    Subject: Jim's funeral

We just had a long chat with Gail who is flying out tomorrow with Ada Marie. The Wake is Sunday and the funeral is Monday. Gail says she's not sure where she will be staying when she gets there, but we can call Kim's home (902 436 4460) or Teresa's cell (902 314 1643). She still had not communicated with Teresa, but she knows that she knows. She has also been told that Kevin will get there in time for the funeral. It all is so much more difficult when one's entire family is spread far and wide.

Gail suggests that we not send flowers. She said, "Send a plant to Kim or something," but the two of us prefer to send her a card and a note, and let her know we've made a donation to Heart and Stroke. You might want to do something similar, but if you feel that we should all be doing something more tangible, let us know ASAP.

Ted, Gail is going to email us her flight times, as she has a stop in Hamilton there and back. It is a longer stop tomorrow than it will be when she returns Wednesday. We'll call and let you know. We are thinking that we will drive out to the airport, and give her a big hug and a card for Kim from us.

Gail seems to have been doing most of her communicating through Gordon. He'll be there for his Mom and his sister, that you can count on. Kim is a little difficult to read, she says. We told her to give Kim an extra big hug from all of us. It will be so much better for Gail when she is there.

Gail say that Jim was 53 or 54. We always enjoyed his company. He was a philosopher or sorts, in his own way, and had the best sense of humour. He will be missed.

Please let us know when you pick up this email, so we know that you are up to date.

    Love,
    Chester and Joy

79 I couldn't tell if you actually got to see the photos. Someone was on the Telfer board looking for Uncle Alex--I think and they had these photos. They said that Uncle Alex had lived with the Watson's in the late 30's in Janetville. This was news to me. I knew that Uncle Alex had had 'trouble staying home' and had been caught for truancy. I didn't know if he had been put in 'care' and didn't know where Janetville was. The people sent these pictures and had Auntie Terry's name and an Australian address for Auntie Terry and Uncle Alex. I thought you might be interested and would appreciate any information that you might have.
